Classic Spanish Revival architecture and understated refinement converge in this tranquil retreat. “We aimed for a luxe feel with a balanced atmosphere,” says Forgione. Custom brass shower doors framed in marble create a dramatic focal point, while the marble bathtub with fluted detailing adds a unique touch. Honed Calacatta Cremo marble countertops and gray-stained oak cabinetry underscore the room’s sophisticated aesthetic. “It was essential that every finish felt classic and enduring, complementing the home’s architectural style,” Forgione adds. The result is a timeless, intimate retreat with ample practicality and style.

Interior designer Wendy Black Rodgers

In the final phase of a total remodel, Rodgers gutted the kitchen, adding beams that would look as though they were part of the home’s original attic. “When we discovered we could raise and vault the ceiling, we were thrilled,” the designer recalls. For a client who loves color, Rodgers clad the entire wall with handmade Aegean blue Zellige tile. The island is topped in iridescent labradorite granite; the countertops are a shimmery, semitransparent quartz. Hutches with leaded glass doors provide a charming alternative to traditional cabinetry.

Interior designer Maria Zambrano

Contemporary elegance meets family functionality in this Sedona kitchen. “The challenge was maximizing a small footprint while ensuring comfort for a family of four,” Zambrano explains. Custom island legs create a floating effect, enhancing the space’s openness. Navy hues, natural stones and mixed metals bring richness and depth, while cabinetry designed to resemble furniture adds character. With breathtaking vistas of Cathedral Rock framed by the kitchen window, Zambrano notes, “The view is magnificent—it’s as close as you can get.” The result is a beautifully tailored second home kitchen.

Interior designer Amy Klosterman

Klosterman placed an induction cooking surface on her kitchen island so that she and her husband could cook dinners together “with our kids and friends around us, not with our backs to them,” she says. A sculptural brass focal point on the wall above the shelves adds warmth. Similar to a decorative hood in its styling, the piece adds a strong visual statement to the wall. “I also love the asymmetry and simplicity of the light fixture as it is viewed against that brass piece.”

Interior designer Candice Quinn
London Pierce Design
Quinn combined elevated design with a serene, spalike atmosphere in this primary suite refresh. “The goal was to create a space that reflected my clients’ high taste and offered a calming retreat,” the designer explains. The centerpiece of the vanity area is Arabescato Corchia marble, selected for its striking veining, which serves as the centerpiece of the vanity. A teak floor, white oak cabinetry, a steam shower with aromatherapy and natural pebbles around the tub elevate the setting’s tranquility. “We bonded over our shared love for marble, and I incorporated it throughout for a balanced, luxurious feel,” Quinn adds.

Interior designer Laura Kehoe

This Silverleaf powder room by Kehoe is a master class in moody design. “We wanted a unique, warm space that complements the nearby office,” says Kehoe. Lava rock tile walls, a dark-painted cabinet framed in custom brass and reeded cabinetry create a rich textural palette. A striking slab countertop and wallpaper add depth and movement, while the fully custom vanity showcases impeccable craftsmanship. “This is one of our favorite projects—it fits perfectly with the home’s architecture and the owners’ refined taste,” Kehoe notes.

Interior designer Priya McCulloch

McCulloch transformed a dated and disjointed kitchen in Tucson into a functional, open-concept space perfect for family gatherings. “We blended classic design with warmth and interest,” she says. Features include a large island for seating, a hidden pantry with chevron doors and a built-in dog-feeding station with a faucet for convenience. Contrasting light and dark woods, glass pendants and quartz countertops add durability and charm. “It’s now a vibrant hub for their everyday life,” she adds.
Interior designer Kaitlyn Wolfe
ICONIC by Kaitlyn Wolfe
Wolfe blended modern functionality with playful design in this remodel. Inspired by the client’s desire for a bright, open bathroom, the transformation features custom oak cabinetry, with built-in hidden vanity seats, creating a cohesive, streamlined look. “The chairs have bold cylindrical legs, adding an architectural statement that complements the modern yet warm design,” Wolfe says. “They are such a fun and unique feature.” A daring plaid tile backsplash and luxe gold fixtures bring personality, while quartz countertops and frameless mirrors enhance the clean, contemporary aesthetic. The room now offers a serene, efficient environment with ample storage, a walk-in shower and plenty of natural light—perfect for its teen inhabitants.

Interior designer Lori Clarke

For clients wanting a traditional East Coast vibe for their new Arizona home, Clarke went with a crisp white and blue color palette accented by natural wood. “My favorite part of this project was having marble countertops in the kitchen and pantry, as well as the fun range wall detail,” Clarke recalls. “I loved using this product and allowing it to do what it does best: age with grace. My client understood and welcomed the patinated look the marble will acquire in this well-used area.”

Interior designer Isabel Dellinger Candelaria
Earth & Images
“This project was anything but typical,” Dellinger Candelaria recalls, noting that the design was driven by the owners’ extensive art collection. “We were able to use a lot of saturated color with a balance of white, black and neutrals.”
The clients wanted excitement—and the interior designer delivered in this primary bath, integrating hand-painted 3D hexagonal tile with smooth plaster. The saturated blue vanity runs the length of the wall; the mirrors add a playful touch. “The space is soothing and exciting at the same time, functional, but not overdone. You must know when to stop.”

Interior designer Brittny Smith
Homesmith Design
“We embraced the home’s existing architectural language but gave it a fresh twist with a softer, more subtle palette of tones, textures and materials,” Smith says. The plaster range hood’s custom arch creates a striking focal point, while the subtle veining and natural beauty of the marble slab provide a foundation for the setting, elevating the design and creating a cohesive, inviting atmosphere that feels both refined and functional. “The overall mix of materials and finishes feels perfectly balanced, allowing each element to shine without overwhelming the space.”
