Luxury Patio Goals? This Arizona Company Builds Furniture That Lasts A Lifetime

Arizona-based outdoor furniture company CC Patio has unveiled a state-of-the-art, 35,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Phoenix.
Founded by Hamid Salari a decade ago, the family-run business produces custom-made, all-weather residential and commercial outdoor furniture. Among the business’s commercial clients are big names, along with the likes of the San Francisco Giants and numerous five-star resorts, including Mountain Shadows Resort and Hotel Valley Ho.
“This facility is more than just square footage—it’s a statement of intent,” says Salari. “By bringing our metalworking, upholstery and woodworking teams under one roof, we’ve created a fully integrated production environment that allows us to maintain tighter quality control and dramatically shorten lead times. It’s also allowed us to invest in advanced equipment and expand our prototyping capabilities, which is huge for pushing design innovation.”
We sat down with Salari to learn more.

Q&A With CC Patio Owner Hamid Salari
What inspired you to open CC Patio?
Ten years ago, I saw a gap in the market. Nobody was truly combining luxury, durability and high-end design for the outdoor space. I wanted to create something better—handcrafted, built-to-last pieces that reflected our Arizona lifestyle. What began as a backyard passion project has evolved into a mission to redefine outdoor living across the country, one custom piece at a time.
What makes “truly customized” outdoor furniture different from what consumers might find at big-box retailers?
Big-box retailers offer options. We offer answers. With us, you’re not limited to preset sizes or colors that are shipped in from overseas. We custom-design each piece to fit your space, your climate and your lifestyle perfectly. From 3D renderings to hand-welded frames, it’s a personal process.
Speaking of offering answers…finding outdoor furniture that is both stylish and can withstand Arizona’s extreme climate is something many Arizonans struggle with. How are you solving this problem?
Arizona’s extreme heat, dust and monsoons are no joke. Every design starts with materials that are battle-tested for this climate. Every frame we manufacture is either steel or aluminum and is double powder-coated for protection. We only use Sunbrella fabrics, which are the industry standard for durability, and we use Dekton for all our tabletop surfaces, which significantly outperforms other surfaces, including granite, marble and quartz. We design not just for beauty, but for resilience.

Your products are made in Arizona by Arizonans, for Arizonans. What impact has this local connection had on the business?
There’s a pride that comes from building in your own backyard. Our team understands the desert lifestyle because we live it. Shade matters, airflow matters and durability is non-negotiable. That local intuition shapes everything we do, from material choices to customer service. We collaborate with local architects and designers. We showcase Arizona materials and styles, and we support community projects. Inspiration is everywhere, from the textures of Sedona to the geometry of midcentury architecture so prominent in Arizona.
What would you say are the summer’s biggest design trends?
We’re seeing a rise in mixed materials, stone with steel and wood with fabric. Also, modular setups that can evolve with your space. I love the clean minimalism that still feels warm, a balance of function and soul.
Your new manufacturing facility is quite impressive at 35,000 square feet. Do you have a favorite part of the building?
One of my favorite details is the second-floor break room. It overlooks Sky Harbor Airport, and that was no accident. I wanted our team to have a space where they could pause, recharge and be reminded of what we’re building here in Arizona. It’s a daily reminder that we’re part of something bigger.
How do you balance maintaining quality while simultaneously scaling up production?
You don’t compromise—you adapt. Scaling up doesn’t mean mass-producing. It means streamlining our workflow, investing in better tools, perfecting our craft and training more artisans to have the same attention to detail. The soul of the product must stay intact.

What’s your favorite commercial project you’ve worked on?
Working with Mountain Shadows Resort was a highlight. They needed something modern and luxurious but also weather-proof and with elevated comfort and commercial-grade durability. It took several months of collaboration, prototypes and site visits. The challenge was balancing design expectations with the wear and tear of high guest turnover. Seeing our pieces used every day by hundreds of guests is incredibly rewarding.
What about residential projects—do you have a favorite?
Yes. A custom outdoor swing bed with integrated lighting and cooling fans. It looked like something out of a design magazine but was built for the desert. The client wanted to be wowed, and we delivered something functional and unforgettable.
Is there anything else we should know?
I think people are starting to realize that outdoor spaces aren’t just for occasional use, they’re vital parts of our daily lives. Whether it’s where you drink your morning coffee, unwind after work, or gather with family and friends, that space should reflect the same care and intention as the rest of your home. Too many people settle for disposable design—for furniture that looks good for one season and ends up in a landfill the next. We don’t subscribe to that. We believe in building pieces that become part of the rhythm of your life, season after season, year after year.
