Transformations to celebrate.
By John Roark
Whether driven by want or necessity, sometimes we just need something different. A change of scenery can do wonders. New shoes have been scientifically proven to spark a paradigm shift in one’s outlook on life. Even trying an alternate hairdo can bring a spring back into one’s step. Or so I am told.
A home, too, can benefit from a redo. From something as simple as splashing on a new coat of paint to going for the gusto of a down-to-the-studs overhaul, change is good. An updated look also can go a long way toward increasing a property’s value and enhancing the efficiency and satisfaction of day-to-day living.
The pages of this issue feature a number of dramatic renovations that we hope will inspire you when considering your own abode. Whether you undertake the small-scale alterations you can manage yourself or enlist a cadre of qualified professionals (always a good idea) for the bigger jobs, here’s to the fresh and the revamped.
As we begin a new year of boundless opportunities, we at Cities West Media wish you health, prosperity and serenity wherever it is that you call home.
