Drewett Works

Drewett Works, located in Old Town Scottsdale, specializes in luxury residential, hospitality and commercial architecture. Recently awarded three Gold Nugget Grand Awards, two of those for the project pictured above, the firm has become one of the most awarded architecture firms in the area. James Hann is an artist.  Although architecture is a technical discipline, to him, it is still an art form on a human scale.  Licensed in several states, with over 40 years of experience, he strives to create design work as both sculpture and functional living environments.

Every commission is unique and must meet certain criteria to satisfy a client.  The process of design involves effective communication and being a good listener.  “Understanding and meeting our clients’ needs is probably the single most important factor in achieving success with a project.” Hann says.  “Architectural design is a very personal process–from concept to completion.”

While many architects’ work occurs within a fairly narrow design range, Hann prefers to be known for his creative solutions involving a fairly wide range of styles.  His strength is in the diversity of his work and his ability to interpret his clients’ needs without stylistic parameters.
