FUN FACT: Rivaling Egyptian cotton in quality, Pima cotton was first cultivated by Pima Indians in Sacaton, southeast of Phoenix. Its extra long fibers—50 percent longer than standard cotton—results in a woven product that is soft, silky and long-lasting. The top-of-the-line version known as Supima, a portmanteau of “superior” and “Pima,” is 100 percent American grown.
