The James Beard Foundation culinary tour makes a stop in the Valley for a cocktail and tasting reception (Sept. 27, 7 p.m., Dominick’s Steakhouse, 15169 N. Scottsdale Rd., Scottsdale) and a celebratory “Night of Culinary Stars” dinner prepared by Charleen Badman, Charles Wiley and Maneet Chauhan (Sept. 28, 7 p.m., Mountain Shadows, 5445 E. Lincoln Dr., Paradise Valley). The event features cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and desserts created by local chefs and restaurateurs.
