PHOENIX Magazine Summer Cocktail Camp

There is no better way to spend a scorching summer afternoon than sipping a crisp, refreshing cocktail. Flashlight Nights

Embark on a magical nighttime adventure with your family at the Desert Botanical Garden’s self-paced flashlight tours. Le Petit Chef

Through Oct. 31

This immersive experience will make your dinner a little more fun. A virtual chef is projected onto your table, narrating the story of the four-course prix fixe menu that awaits you. The menu includes wagyu beef with red onion jam and Dijon-hollandaise, as well as Meyer lemon crème brûlée topped with a honeycomb crumble. Flagstaff Symphony Guild Home Tour

Prickly Pear Festival

Aug. 23

This annual event celebrates the edible wonders of the Sonoran Desert while showcasing the many products and health benefits of the prickly pear cactus. Along with the festival activities, many local restaurants and retail merchants will have special sales and prickly pear items for sale. Arizona State Fair

Sept. 19-Oct. 26

It’s the time of year for rodeos, monster trucks, carnival rides, deep-fried food and other Arizona State Fair traditions at this annual celebration of the 48th state. Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo aren’t the only members of the “Wicked” cast with musical chops. Their co-star, Jeff Goldblum, is an accomplished jazz pianist, and both Grande and Erivo appear on his fourth album, “Still Blooming.” Together, they interpret the great American songbook for a modern audience. Michael Afsa: Suburban Paradise

17th Annual Grand Canyon Celebration of Art

Beginning Sept. 18

More than 20 artists from the Southwest will capture the beauty of Grand Canyon’s South Rim “en plein air” right in front of the park’s visitors. The completed works will then be displayed at a ticketed event on Sept. 20, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., at Kolb Studio inside the park. Then, on Sept. 21, the public will have the opportunity to admire these works and purchase them online, with the proceeds supporting the Grand Canyon Conservancy. Botanical Blacksmith Exhibit Through Sept. 20

Do you want to make your landscape stand out? Drive north to The Arboretum at Flagstaff. More than 70 botanical-themed metal sculptures will be on display for the annual Botanical Blacksmith exhibit. Hoop Dance!
