Now open on the ground floor of Phoenix’s Mortgage Matchup Center is the venue’s first-ever members-only dining club. Identifiable by only a small, neon red martini sign, The Ra Ra Room is a secret portal to a world of Gatsby-esq glamour.  

Created by Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury owner Mat Ishbia and Major Food Group, this destination within a destination offers an opulent, speakeasy style experience—for a price.  

A $15,000 annual fee grants access to a world of Art Deco era glamour and indulgence marked by exquisite cuisine and libations, exclusive experiences, a world-class wine list, a dream pantry stocked with gourmet snacks and unparalleled white-glove service.  

We recently sat down with The Ra Ra Room’s General Manager Jared LoPriore to learn more.  

What’s included in a Ra Ra Room membership? 

JP: Membership offers access for two to The Ra Ra Room, where guests can enjoy classic dishes from Major Food Group’s iconic culinary portfolio, offered nowhere else in Arizona. Members can also indulge in world-class wine and beverage offerings and a lavish pantry stocked with gourmet snacks and treats. Additional perks include valet parking, white-glove concierge, members-only events and pre-sale access to Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury games and concerts hosted at Mortgage Matchup Center. 

Can you tell us more about the club’s culinary program? What’s on the menu? 

JP: The menu features the most stellar Major Food Group signatures—like Carbone’s veal parmesan, spicy rigatoni vodka pasta and caesar salad alla ZZ’s Club. Guests can also enjoy abundant raw bar selections such as dressed king crab and chilled half lobster, along with perfectly executed classics ranging from sizzling shrimp scampi to our steakhouse burger. Guests can enjoy a curated selection of cocktails, including house martinis and classic negronis. Complementing this program is a world-class wine and spirits collection featuring rare bottles and options for every taste. 

What went into creating this space? 

JP: Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury owner Mat Ishbia worked closely with global hospitality company Major Food Group (MFG) and its co-founders Mario Carbone, Jeff Zalaznick, and Rich Torrisi to open The Ra Ra Room. Their vision was to create something truly one-of-a-kind with a first-ever members-only private dining club within a sports and entertainment venue at Mortgage Matchup Center. The collaboration marks the renowned global hospitality brand’s first venture in Phoenix. 

What’s your personal favorite thing about The Ra Ra Room?

JP: We designed the space to feel intimate and personal, with every detail, from the lighting to the pacing of the meal, everything is crafted to create a memorable experience. For me, the guest relationship is my favorite part. Over time, we build familiarity with our guests—remembering each of their stories and checking in on their family or life events. It turns dining into something far more meaningful than a meal; it becomes a shared experience rooted in warmth and genuine care.
