The Fall Gardening Series You Won’t Want to Miss

Join urban farmer Greg Peterson for a series of online classes that will teach you how to grow fruit trees like a pro.

By Carly Scholl

On Sept. 12, local farmer and agriculture expert Greg Peterson kicks off the 21st annual Urban Farm Fruit Tree Education Program with a day’s worth of learning experiences, professional advice and giveaways—all of which you can participate in from the comfort of your own home. To encourage social distancing, Peterson will host the event live online instead of in person. “Education is at the core of all that we do,” Peterson explains. “Each year, we begin the fall season with an event that teaches people how to successfully purchase and grow fruit trees that are climate-appropriate for the low desert.” A series of free educational webinars will continue through early December, as Peterson and his expert guests share tips on cultivating everything from citrus and peach trees to grape and berry plants.
