Minimalism is making its way into the lighting scene this season, as fixtures from flush mounts to floor lamps are getting streamlined, pared-down makeovers. Straightforward silhouettes, timeless finishes and functional designs bring a breath of fresh air to interiors in need of sleek, clean lines and fuss-free illumination.

Artisan Aesthetic

The new Mix & Match collection from Foscarini features three unique lighting designs: Gem, Gregg and Ritual (pictured clockwise from far left). Each curvaceous fixture is crafted from blown glass and is available as a floor, table, wall or ceiling application, with the choice of gold, white or graphite finishes. $338-$1,713 (
