16th Annual Grand Canyon Celebration of Art

For one week, more than 20 artists from the Southwest will capture the majestic beauty of the Grand Canyon’s South Rim “en plein air” in full view of the park’s visitors. The finished works will be on display and available for purchase online and at the Kolb Studio inside the park, with proceeds benefiting the Grand Canyon Conservancy. Botanical Blacksmith Exhibit

“William Matthews: Decades”

“Harry Fonseca: Transformations”

In the late 1970s, the late Nisenan Native American artist Harry Fonseca began his “Coyote” series. The main character in these works, seen as a “trickster” in Native American storytelling, is a metaphor for how one changes and defies society’s preconceived notions.
