Desert Compound on the 2022 Garden Tour

The natural desert provides a dramatic backdrop to a contemporary house defined by clean lines of cast-in-ace concrete, glass, steel and wood. Each room within the home boasts stellar views–including mountains on the horizon, brilliant blooms surrounding the poolscape and a tropical oasis enveloping the outdoor cooking and entertaining area. Geometric agaves and orderly rows of golden barrels and Mexican cardons are visual counterpoint to blooming lantana and colorful annuals. The bridge to the main entry was inspired by the entrance to Desert Botanical Garden.
