History: The mother-and-daughter team began by creating products with inspirational messages, and then donating part of the proceeds to charities. “The passion to make old things new again started taking center stage, whether it was restoring furniture or bringing antique windows back to life and giving them a new purpose,” says Bartman. “Treasures started piling up, and the dream of opening a refreshingly different boutique was born.”

Philosophy: “We want to connect with everyone who walks through our doors,” notes TerHorst. “When our customers leave, they say they feel as though they have had an experience.”

What’s in store: Hand-forged iron, handcrafted benches with turquoise inlay, painted gourds, mosaic tile art and life-size wood sculptures—many by local artists—can be found. Tucked in among these are plenty of one-of-a-kind treasures. Laser-engraving services also are available, and Coyote Oaties cookies are baked daily by TerHorst.

Don’t miss: Check out the funky glass chandeliers, tables made from vintage doors, one-of-a-kind mantels, and hand-painted ostrich eggs.

Some of the offerings include (above, left to right) Santa woodcarvings from Ken Lessnau, painted gourds by Phoenix artist Geri Wood-Gittings, and turned-wood salt and pepper shakers with doorknob tops by Dale Gillaspy of Glendale, Ariz.
