History: Six years ago, Nancy and Sohail Djariri went on a search for resort-style furnishings for their backyard that left them dissatisfied with the quality and variety available. Rather than settle, they turned their disappointment into action and designed a line of custom wrought-iron outdoor furniture. The couple began displaying their products at home and garden shows and saw their client base grow quickly. As a result, they opened Sunset Patio’s showroom last winter.
Philosophy: “Our whole mantra is to offer an outdoor resort-style look,” says Sohail. The company’s focus, Nancy adds, is on personalized service aimed at satisfying a client’s vision of luxuriously appointed covered patios and full-sun areas.
What’s in store: The showroom features a line of wrought-iron furniture and accessories designed by Nancy that includes a double chaise lounge with deep seat cushions, and oversized candle sconces. With more than 100 fabric choices, furniture offered in four sizes and an assortment of materials—from water hyacinth and teak to poly rattan—options for creating a personalized look abound. In addition, the store showcases an array of tabletops, ranging from travertine to copper to granite, locally made wall art suitable for covered patios, and a line of outdoor cantera fireplace surrounds. Rounding out the offerings are such accessories as vases, lamps, umbrellas, pillows, all-weather rugs and outdoor room dividers. Design consultations are available.
