CLASSY & CASUAL

Laid-back yet stylish outdoor furnishings and decor are what you can expect to find at Caroline and Steve Thompson’s Santa Barbara shop, Cabana Home. “What we try to do is to put together a very ‘collected’ look,” says Caroline of the wares she and her husband display in their 6,200-square-foot indoor/outdoor showroom.
In addition to collections by such manufacturers as David Sutherland, Domus Designs, JANUS et Cie, Summit Furniture and Brown Jordan, the store carries tile tables and wrought-iron work imported from Morocco, along with European antiques. Other products include pottery, fountains, pedestals and fireplace surrounds. An array of outdoor fabrics by Kravet, Lee Jofa and Donghia also is showcased. Design services are available.
A variety of the shop’s offerings are shown here, such as an oval-back chair from Sutherland Teak upholstered in Perennials outdoor fabric (center) as well as a ceramic garden stool by Anamese Garden & Home (right) topped with a Campania glazed pot.
To see what’s in the store, head for 111 Santa Barbara St. For information, call (805) 962-0200, or log on to cabanahome.com.
