DESERT VISTA - Fascinated with the Arizona desert, which provides stark contrast to his native Canadian landscape, Bill Rogers loves to paint outdoors. Most of his landscapes are created “en plein air,” which he says is the key to accurately capturing light and its effects. Rogers’ paintings are on exhibit Aug. 1-31 at Gallery Andrea in Scottsdale. The show also includes landscape paintings by Sarah Clemens. Pictured is “Desert at Dogtrail Park” by Rogers. The oil on canvas is 11" high x 14" wide.
