ROCK SOLIDRefurbishing a hardscape is one way to update a property. Porphyry pavers offer homeowners a way to make the project eco-friendly. Quarried in Mexico, Argentina and Europe, the natural stone is frost-proof, non-slip and often harder than granite, according to the company.
Because of its durability, Porphyry is ideal for use as a permeable paver. The long-lasting material is available in an array of sizes, including 4"x 4" and 12"x12" squares. It is pictured here in the Roman pattern, which features multiple widths of the stone cut in random lengths.
