FRENCH EARTH
DEFI Products of Naperville, Illinois, is bringing a bit of France to America—literally. The company has introduced Argildéco, an eco-friendly interior wall finish with an Old World French look, to the U.S. market.

The decorative coating is made up of clay and sand extracted from quarries in the French region of Drome, and colored with such natural pigments as Puisaye sienna, ocher or iron oxides. No chemical processes are used in the manufacture of the product, and little energy is employed, according to a company spokesman.
