Beautiful Bedroom

It is said that we spend a third of our lives sleeping. With so much time expended in the sack, it’s important that the room our  bed inhabits be as restful as possible. Accordingly, today’s bedrooms are designed to be private sanctuaries where we not only sleep but also try to dial down the noise of the day. Thanks to its cozy ambience and an earthy desert palette, this inviting bedroom accomplishes both.

Boasting a collected Southwestern style, the space seamlessly blends Old World and global elements, including a rustic plank-and-beam ceiling, classic wrought-iron cross and chandelier, Venetian plaster walls and a handcarved Peruvian bed.

A Wheaten Terrier named Heathrow, who also is king of this castle, takes the lead on the daily wind down atop a soft, leather ottoman at the foot of the bed. Across the way, (out of view) is a classic kiva fireplace.
