Saddle Up!Authentic interiors were important to the owners of a Tucson home that evolved from what had been an old adobe ruin. In the husband’s study, for example, an adobe-backed recess lends a true and artistic element to a plastered adobe wall. Displayed on a wooden stand in front of the wall is an heirloom Western saddle that once belonged to the homeowner’s grandfather. Floors here are concrete, which was a common flooring material in early Southwest homes.
