One Night StandWhen they purchased their home in 1998, the homeowners had local craftsmen custom-design their bed so it would fit into the master bedroom’s limited space.
Concerned with size restraints, the owners also requested a pair of space-saving “floating” nightstands. “We commissioned the nightstands for two reasons,” says the lady of the house. “The space was very limited because the bed sits in a niche, and, since we already had craftsmen making the bed, it was easy for them to make the matching nightstands as well.”
The homeowner notes that the stands are small enough to fit the area, and yet have ample tops to hold candlestick lamps and other necessities. The nightstands also cleverly conceal electrical outlets that are hidden beneath their tops.
