EDITORS PICK

Simplicity and versatility are two of my favorite words. That probably explains why I was so taken by West Elm’s Simple Wood Stand and trays. I love the prospect of being able to alter the look of a basic piece—in this case a table—simply by changing what goes on top. Shown here, on the same base, are three removable trays—one of hammered metal, plus two of lacquered wood. Find them at West Elm at Scottsdale Quarter, (480) 948-3722.

STICK FIGURE
Palecek offers a nod to nature with its Found Twig table lamp. Gathered by hand, tumbled until smooth, then bundled and stacked under a raffia shade, the twigs offer a natural approach to the art of illumination. Available through Est Est, (480) 563-1555.

MODULAR & MAGNIFICENT
The Infinite Office Desk is part of a modular collection inspired by the bold hardware on women’s handbags. Featuring designer Marc Desplaine’s signature combination of wood and steel, it is shown here in American black walnut with titanium steel legs, support and pull. Available through trade professionals at Antoine Proulx, (602) 952-1580.

CHIC SEAT
Classic meets Contemporary in this stylish Party Chair from Schnadig International’s Caracole portfolio. Detailed with splayed back legs, a Glint finish and contrasting back button, it is available through Design Source Furniture, (480) 838-7200.

GREEN DREAMS
Made of FSC-certified maple, the Horizon Bed from Copeland Furniture provides a sustainable choice for slumber. Configured for a mattress only, it is available with a high or low footboard and made to order in a Natural, Cocoa, Dark Chocolate or Slate finish. Available through brix home, (480) 355-6050.

The Asian-inspired Tao Bookshelf is the newest member of Hellman-Chang’s award-winning Tao line. Featuring intriguing negative spaces, the distinctive and versatile piece can be used as a room divider or display shelf, or turned on its side to serve as a console.
