Tile Style

Frank Lloyd Wright’s trademark geometric designs influenced this Skylight art tile from Motawi Tileworks. The 4" by 8" handmade ceramic piece features a green and brown color palette and is based on a skylight in the architect’s home and studio in Oak Park, Illinois. Available framed or unframed, the tile and other pieces from Motawi Tileworks’ Frank Lloyd Wright Collection can be found at Taliesin West Bookstore, (480) 627-5398.

Leather Redux

Leather gets a new look with EcoDomo’s Milano+Emiliana Collection of tiles made from recycled leather paired with stone or glass. The company, which makes a line of eco-friendly products, devised this offering from BMW leather seat remnants and scraps of composite rock and fragments from quarries. Pictured here is a leather and Crema Marfil stone weave. The tiles are suitable for many indoor applications and are available through Natural Territory, (480) 998-2700.

 Inside Out

Corbels originally seen on the exterior of a building became the inspiration for this desk from Restoration Hardware. The hand-carved wood legs are made of reclaimed teak and feature details reminiscent of Classical design. A 3/4"-thick glass top adds a Contemporary feel. Order the Corbel Glass Desk online at restorationhardware.com.
