JUST ADD WATER - Define the entry to your home with a classic architectural element

THE OBJECTIVE
Landscape architect Donna Winters wanted to create a restful, intimate feeling near the front entry of a Phoenix home.

THE INSPIRATION
An antique limestone fountain with antique bronze spout was installed to create an Old World ambience and anchor the setting with an architecturally significant piece.

THE DESIGN
Water flows into a main basin, then into another receptacle behind it. This provides visual interest from a  nearby walkway that winds around the back of the fountain.

THE PLANTS
Flora chosen for its color, texture and long-term seasonal blooming includes yellow damianita, red-flowering Mexican honeysuckle, Mediterranean fan palm and rosemary.
