Baked Tortilla Chips

Author: Allan Schanbacher
Issue: March, 2008
This is a low fat way to make tortilla chips out of old tortillas

15 to 20 corn tortillas
2 tablespoons vegetable oil, for brushing the tortillas
Sea salt to taste

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

Brush top and bottom of the tortillas with oil. Stack tortillas and cut into six to eight wedges or strips. Spread in a single layer on 2 or 3 large baking sheets and season with salt.

Bake until golden brown and crisp, about 12 to 15 minutes, rotating the baking sheets twice. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container.
